Nomads consider our impact on the environment at each step of the journey and always choose environmentally responsible materials and methods wherever they can. All  prints are created with azo-free, environmentally approved dyes and our clothing is never
tested on animals, so it’s kinder for them too.

Fair Trade – Nomads have been dedicated to Fair Trade and the Fair Trade principles for more than 30 years, nurturing valuable partnerships in India.

Nomads Commitments – they consider the environmental impact at every step and seek to use environmentally responsible materials at every opportunity.

Nomads believe that small changes can lead to the biggest impact, that’s why nurturing our little world is incredibly important. At Home in the Highlands we love their ethos, they are a lovely company to work with, and we and our customers love their clothes.

Each season, their talented in-house designers create beautiful capsule collections, each with their own distinct story and stunning colourway – often inspired by our ambles along the Cornish coastlines.

Born from a love of India and its wonderfully vibrant culture, the Nomads journey began in Pushkar, Rajasthan, where our original founders met in 1989. After exploring India together, they spent the last of their travel money on a selection of fair trade handicrafts from Nepal and brought them back to the UK to sell at the first ever Nomads market stall in Camden, London.

The success of these market stalls soon saw them enter the world of wholesale and manufacturing our own products, where they began to build lifelong relationships with artisan producers and Fair Trade factories in India. Six years later, they launched www.nomadsclothing.com to retail customers, introduced organic cotton jersey to the collections (now the best-loved fabric) and became GOTS certified. Phew!

They say – We’ve come a long way since the beginning, but celebrating India’s artisan heritage is still a core element of our design and production process. From handloom textiles to intricate embroidery details, we continue to create ethical, Fair Trade clothing using the very best quality natural fibres, GOTS certified organic cotton and traditional artisan techniques. All our exclusively-designed prints are created with azo free, environmentally approved dyes.

We strongly believe that feeling good in what we wear comes down to more than just looks. Style shouldn’t come at a cost to people, animals or the planet. As we continue to widen our global reach, Nomads Clothing can now be found in many shops all over the world. And with support from new investment, we plan to expand our offering further and bring Fair Trade style to a rapidly-growing generation of conscious consumers.

All the while, maintaining the close customer and supplier relationships we pride ourselves on and remaining true to our ethical roots. We’re looking forward to embarking on this next stage in the Nomads journey, and welcome you along for the ride. Let’s see what the next 30 years brings………we are with you Nomads!!
